Why Support?

Mater Dei was built in the 1960's through the generosity and support of a generation of families who believed in the importance of a faith-based education for their children.  They answered Monsignor Bulman's call to build a Catholic high school in St. Mary's Parish, and they worked with him to fulfill his vision.  Those families invested in the future of their children - and students throughout Monmouth County - by ensuring that Mater Dei was here for them when it was time for high school.  Their planning and preparation resulted in a vibrant and dynamic academic institution that has provided students with an outstanding and challenging education for more than 40 years.

Dear Alumni, Parents and Friends:

It is an exciting time on the campus of Mater Dei Prep!  The enthusiasm of our students to succeed is evident in the academic, athletic, artistic and social activities taking place on campus.  They continue to garner many accolades and awards which have been a tradition since our first graduating class in June 1965.  As the principal of this fine institution, I have the pleasure to witness firsthand their academic achievements, leadership skills, and commitment to their Catholic faith.

I invite you to join us in Building on Our Tradition of Excellence with a gift to our Annual Fund.  Annual fund gifts make a difference in the lives of our students by supporting the general operation of our school.  Our current senior class will become our newest alumni.  Many of our seniors have participated in our dual enrollment program with Seton Hall University and Brookdale Community College.  These ambitious students will begin their college careers having earned as much as twenty-one college credits while enrolled at Mater Dei Prep.  These high achieving students have scored above the national average on the SAT, resulting in scholarships to many top tier colleges. 

Our mission is to serve the young men and young women of our school by providing them with the best educational experience possible, one rooted in faith formation, academic rigor and community service.  Your support of the Annual Fund makes fulfilling this mission possible. Mater Dei Commerative Paver Program

Support the continuing renovation of Monsignor Bulman Stadium by buying a commerative paver!  All pavers will be installed in a memorial garden inside the stadium.
